Friends of Hertford Museum

The Friends of Hertford Museum are an independent group who actively support the museum in many different ways, including fundraising through their own events and participating in many aspects of the Museum’s life.

Funds raised by the Friends help enrich the Museum collection. The Museum’s beautiful Jacobean Knot Garden was originally funded by the Friends and they have since contributed to its upkeep.

The Friends meet on the third Tuesday of each month (except January and August), usually at the St Andrew’s Centre, for expert talks on aspects of history in and around Hertford.

The Friends also put on social events including an annual quiz evening, raising funds in support of the Museum.

Members receive both the Friends’ newsletters and emailed Museum updates and, as valued supporters, they are invited to exhibition previews and Museum events.

Individual membership costs only £15 a year and membership for a household is just £22.50.

If you are interested in joining the Friends, please follow the link to complete the slip and pop in to the Museum or send it by post with a cheque payable to The Friends of Hertford Museum.

Visitors are very welcome to join at our talk meetings for just £3 each, payable at the door.

Forthcoming meetings can be viewed here.
