After school, Robin Addis spent several years as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice in Coventry. Then he travelled round the World, working for a while in an American brush factory, and in the Australian Addis company in Sydney. He started work full time at Addis in Hertford in about 1963 and worked there until the 1990s. Having passed many old and interesting brushes and brush handles to Hertford Museum, Robin recorded their descriptions for the Museum’s records. His talk will cover seven generations of his family

Drop in and take part in train-themed arts and crafts at the museum this half-term to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Hertford North Station.

Join Peter Ruffles and local historian David Dent on the 100^th anniversary of Hertford North Station. Learn about the origins of the station, and follow the route of the old Cowbridge railway line back into town.
