Rickmansworth War Memorial

Rickmansworth cenotaph. Large stone war memorial surmounted by a lion. Surrounded by crowd of people, probably at dedication ceremony. 1920-1926. The statue of a lion crushing an eagle was originally on top of the Main Rickmansworth memorial but was moved in 1978 to the grounds of the Council Offices, where it sits on a brick plinth, It forms the centre piece of the Rickmansworth Rose Garden.
