Many people are familiar with the Dimsdale name around Hertford. Dorothy is interested in the life and remarkable achievements of Dr Thomas Dimsdale and his work on small pox and inoculations. Having twice visited Russia, she has knowledge about his connection to the Empress Catherine, her family and court circles. Dorothy is Chairman of the Hertfordshire Building Preservation Trust and also of the Hertfordshire Heritage Fund which has grant funded several items for Hertford Museum.
