Friends of Hertford Museum

Everyone needs Friends and Hertford Museum is no exception. As Friends our aim is to support the Museum and its work in every conceivable way - by raising money, getting publicity, providing practical help with the Museum's work and generally doing our best to increase public awareness of the extensive and fascinating collections which the Museum maintains for all of us.

For the Friends we arrange a varied programme of events, some closely related to museum activities, some social and some of wider interest to members. And we circulate two newsletters a year to keep you up-to-date with what is going on at the Museum and amongst the Friends.

If you think you could help with fundraising, publicity, organising events or general museum support - we need you ! If you just want to meet people with similar interests and have the satisfaction of supporting a worthwhile local cause - join us anyway.

It costs only £15 per year for your whole household (or £10 for an individual membership) and that entitles you to free admission to all Friends' ordinary events.

The Friends' subscription year runs from January to December. However, the subscription paid by new members joining after 30th September will last until 31st December of the following year.

Meetings are held at the Museum, 18 Bull Plain, Hertford on the third Tuesday of each month excluding January and August.

A fee of £2 is made for guests and visitors. Coffee/tea and biscuits are available for a small charge.

To join just send your name, address, telephone number and details of any special skills together with your cheque to :-
