Model Railway Day One

Today we had our first model railway day since the museum reopened…much fun was had by all (especially Reg, Peter, Guy, Ian and co!!)..come back tomorrow (Thursday 19th August) for more between 10.30 am and 3.30 pm!

Art Deco Fun for all!

This week our young visitors have enjoyed finding out about the Art Deco style of  art by making pen pots and paperweights inspired by the movement…thanks to those of you that came along!

Art workshops inspried by Cathy Smale’s artwork

Cathy Smale dropped by on Thursday 5th AUgust to lead a workshop inspired by her current exhibition here at the museum. The exhibition is on until September – if you have not seen it yet it’s well worth a look, and there are some pieces of work for sale too!

The children had a great time, here are a few photographs of their masterpieces.

Hula Hula at Hertford Museum!

Last Saturday was Hawaiian Flag Day at Hertford Museum. 

Children had great fun making grass skirts, flags and ‘lei’ (garlands).  This is just one of our many summer holiday drop-in activities at Hertford Museum in our new extension.
